For heavy-duty applications in shipyards, foundries and steel construction, PFERD has developed two innovative high-performance cut patterns for its line of tungsten carbide burrs. Available for the most common burr head shapes, the new 3R and 3RS cuts provide exceptional impact resistance and stock removal. These tools give best results where machining work must meet ultra-exacting demands.

Thanks to an optimum alignment of all manufacturing parameters, the newly developed 3R and 3RS cut types help minimize tooth breakage, splintering and burr head cracking.

Like all other PFERD quality burrs and rotary cutters, these tungsten carbide burrs distinguish themselves by a perfect match of tooth geometry, number of teeth, helix angle, rake angle, and true-running precision.
